Just curious, how long have you been working with weights (excluding body weight exercises) continuously (excepting when you can't when you've got injuries). I'm talking about any exercises.

Thanks.

Continuously for ten months. I lifted a bit in high school and such, but since I started up again (I'm 31 now) I have been going strong for ten months solid with no end in sight.

I guess about 4 years? And for me, weights means dumbbells as I don't have cash or space for the big stuff. Started small (5lb set I had buried in my closet), bought some smaller ones once I could move my arms again (ha!), and have progressed quite a bit - just bought a set of 30s over the weekend. :drinker:

Picked up a barbell for the first time June of last year. I won't ever stop picking it up and putting it down.♡

only 2 months since I've started a "serious" heavy lifting routine. I wish I knew this back 10 years ago.

Consistently since August 2013. Before that, I would dabble in them for a few months at a time, but I never stuck with it. I would get bored or discouraged because the scale would go up or I wouldn't see instant results.

I lifted consistently when I was younger and all through my 20s...I wish I would have known then what I know now because I left a whole lot of good gains on the table with less than optimal routines, etc. I took about a 10 year hiatus at around 28 and picked them up again at 38 when I got all into this good livin' lifestyle change stuff. I've been lifting consistently now for about 18 months while following very well laid out and intelligent plans. It's amazing what following an actual program does in RE to results...I've made greater gains in this past 18 months than I did in the entirety of my previous lifting.

Continuously since February, using only dumbbells and resistance bands.

Off and on since 2010, using barbell, plates, kettle bells, and everything in between.

I started in January 2013, so about 18 months. Before that I'd never lifted a barbell. I wish I'd discovered this 20 years ago though.

I've been working out my whole life. But lifting- almost 2 decades.

Punishment for elbows on the table was push ups- even as like a 3 year old.

First touched a barbell in high school.
College was a mix of weights body weight and basiclly toughmudders and boot camp.
I did purely HIIT for two years and danced.
Now I do power lifting and dance.
