Measurements

Hi All

I've been keeping an eye on my inches as I figured combined with the scales it would give a better idea of progress...

this week my weight went down... but my waist measurement went up!

So my question is, i'm getting my friend to take my measurements, we are taking each others is there any tips on making sure you measure the same spot everytime? I'm wondering if she isn't hitting the same area everytime?

Or maybe it should flux like your weight? my thigh and bust had gone down hips stayed the same..

I only take body measurements once per month. Those change more slowly, so if you are taking them every week, the change may be too small to see.

Your body reacts to environmental conditions such as temperature and pressure. It can expand and contract based upon recent ambient conditions and on a daily basis, water retention versus muscle preload at particular times of each day. While consistency is good practice, some variation will occur under normal conditions beyond your control. If you're particularly concerned about your measurements at any given moment, record your measurements upon rising and then post-exercise to see the extreme change that is possible. Make a note to yourself pertaining to your normal variation between both conditions just to put your mind at ease.
