One week in...

One week (7 days) in this time around, and no appreciable loss yet. I set my goals up to lose 2 lbs a week, and this week I lost .6 lbs. And that could very well just be water weight. Not losing hope though. I've done it once, and I can do it again. I just wish I hadn't fallen off the weight loss wagon a year a half ago to gain back everything I had lost.

I'm shooting for 30 - 40 lbs this time, with an overall goal weight of between 180 and 190. Though the weight isn't nearly as important as losing this belly. About a year ago I bought a bunch of nice clothes that no longer fit. My overall girth needs to decrease big-time.

One week down, a lifetime to go.

Hi! My name is Kim and my weight loss journey began two years ago. I was at my heaviest (225) and things were not good. I couldn't keep up with my kids, I was tired all the time, and my doctor told me that my cholesterol was on the rise! I decided something needed to change. I started walking, and eventually doing some weight training. I am down over 75 pounds! I feel so much better, and I love supporting and encouraging people to do the same. I would be happy to be an accountability partner with you. I still have some weight to lose, so we can work at it together! Getting your nutrition under control is a big key to losing weight. I can share what has worked for me if you are interested. If you work hard, I know you can reach your goal! So what do ya say? Are you in?

Sounds like you are not eating in as deep of a caloric deficit as you believe you are.

    Good luck with your goals.

That's kinda what I was thinking, but I log every thing I consume, liquid or solid, and I am consistently eating less than the daily goal. Maybe I should cut back a bit more or something. I don't know. Maybe I shouldn't eat excess calories when exercise says I have "earned them." - Though last time I did, and I lost the weight just fine. I don't know. 1 week is too soon to tell.

Try eating back only half the calories you "earn." Most machines and websites grossly over estimate calories burned.
