Savory Waffles

I saw something on a cooking show about making savory waffles / pancakes. Sounded great, so I bought a high-end waffle maker. Got it this weekend.
My first attempt was a waffle mix that was half waffle batter and half cauliflower/potatoes. I added oregano, parmesan, basil, savory and chives. After I made the waffles in the waffle iron, I put them on a rack in the oven and sprinkled Cheddar Cheese on them. It was pretty good.
I am going to be playing with this thing for awhile as I experiment.
If you have any recipes, I would love to hear them.
