Road to a healthy body

I’ve finally reached the point I thought I never would, I’m over 200 pounds. I’ve been here before; I love the community aspect of myfitnesspal and the calorie counting and workout tracking is incredibly useful but the community is what made me come back, it’s something that needs to be a part of my getting fit journey.
There are many reasons why I’m overweight, eating out for lunch, dinner and sometimes breakfast, eating late night snacks and desserts, being too tired after work to get a workout in, not pushing hard enough when I do workout, having an all or nothing mindset, being ok with being uncomfortable about my extra fat, i.e. thinking of myself as chubby but not so overweight it’s to the point of unhealthiness. Being slightly ashamed that part of the reason why I want to lose weight is for vanity as I do want to look better and feel attractive. But there are also many positive reasons, I love being active and having enough stamina to engage in activities is something I need to get back.
I know that at the end of the day, I have to provide my own motivation ultimately but I like encouraging others and I like encouragement, so here’s to us that are starting again for the 5th, 10th, 100th, or maybe the very first time to becoming the healthiest versions of ourselves. Any tips or advice is highly appreciated Thank you.
