strength training

I have just now started to add strength training to my list of activities. Do you not get calories back for doing those activities? I know you get calories back when I key in cardiovascular activities. I have keyed in strength training activities for the last two days or so and can't tell if I am getting calories back for doing those activities. Please explain.

MFP doesn't add them back.
There's not a real good way to calculate your actual burn from strength training. It will depend a lot on the intensity you put into it.
If you want to record something for the calorie burn, they do have a "strength training" entry in the normal, cardio exercise list.
Personally, I've stopped logging strength exercises here and just increased m activity level by a notch to account for some extra caloric needs.0 -
I don't count the strength training calories either.0
