Achy knees and Glucosamine?

A little history: I am 32 years old. I had always been fit as I was a cheerleader for 8 years, four of those years on a coed collegiate squad. Long story short - got married, had babies, and let things go a little bit. I started making some diet and exercise changes in mid April. In that time I have lost 12 pounds and am currently at 136.4 lbs. I am currently on week 5 on T25.

I had my first knee surgery when I was 15 and my second when I was 20. During the second surgery I found out that I already had arthritis in my knee, and likely had it in both knees. This is becoming a bit of an issue because even with doing some of the modifications on T25 they are very achy. Wondering if anyone else has a similar issue or if anyone has tried glucosamine to help?

Thanks!

I haven't had any knee injuries, but do have osteoarthritis in both knees. I don't jog and sometimes am sore after high impact aerobics and squats. I've used glucosamine for years, and I feel that it does help some, but my husband found a study that says it has no effect and is now telling me to stop wasting my money. I still have one bottle left that I'm finishing up, so after that, I'm going to try to go off it and see if there's a difference.
