Weight, BMI down, Body Fat up?

Every week I weigh myself at the gym and my weight is going down by 1-3 lb a week over past month (7lb in all). Also my BMI is going down, 28.7 to 27.7 in the month. Butt I have just noticed my Body Fat has been going up. 4% in the month. I don't understand whether that is bad or what? If bad, what am I doing wrong?

Body fat measured with anything other than a complicated caliper or water displacement measure is completely unrealiable. Not to worry.
Weigh. Measure. If both are going down your body fat can't be going up.

I've measured my waist and it hasn't moved in weeks I walk a lot...maybe I need more weights?0

Fat loss comes down to genetics. As you lose weight at a moderate pace, you'll lose fat but it's whenever your body feels. It was super annoying for me. My stomach started looking really awful near the end because I was losing elsewhere but not on the stomach. Took the last 10-15 lbs to truly see a huge difference. Just make sure you're losing at a sustainable pace and weightlifting, if you can, would be a great thing to focus on to retain lean mass.0

If you're not eating enough protein then you are losing muscle mass along with fat.
If you lose more muscle than fat, your % of body fat will increase even as the scale goes down.
I thought 50 grams of protein was 100% of my RDA until the trainer doing my weekly body fat % said it went up. Because I was over 200 pounds at the time and working out regularly, my protein requirement was 150 grams.0 -
Will focus more on Weights. As for Protein, I'm not reaching my daily target on that. Will sort that out. Thank you all, any extra advice on losing my stomach while losing weight would be great0
