Hi folks
I'm retuning to the app but with a twist this time I'm also giving up caffeine
Gone from 10 coffees a day to non over night been free now for 5 days
Past 2 days its been like having sleeping sickness best sleep in years so hoping the benefits are starting to show
I'm drinking mainly water question is what do other non caffeine drinkers have when out with family and friends

Water, Sparkling water, . . .
(I have not had coffee in 10 years.)0 -
If I'm at a cafe and not feeling like a coffee I have a banana smoothie because they are my favourite, but I am not off caffeine as I drink its rarely so it's not an issue for me.
Why do you feel you have to have anything?0 -
I will never give up coffee I just love it too much.
What I have done is I measure 1 serving of half and half in and
I've cut the sugar down to 1 packet. I have also
noticed I am not drinking 5 or 6 cups before lunch.
I think I have more energy due to eating healthier
and I don't feel the need for a caffeine boost.
I enjoy the coffee so much more now!0 -

water IS best, but I like the taste of different coffees, and I suspect that caffeine is a net-positive effect on the average person's health. Whether by directly increasing circulation, or increasing thirst and making you drink more water, or indirectly by stimulating and making you more active.
So I decided to try to reduce the addiction/withdrawal effects by going to alternate caffeine-free days. Today's a coffee-day. Feeling good... Typical half-life is supposed to be about 5 hours.
Before this regime, I had a few days of withdrawal that were really bad - headache with profound nausea. Eye-opening. I guess no wonder that many of the shotgun-style headache remedies include a dose of caffeine.0 -
oops I meant to reply diet soda is a great thing. Especially if alcohol is on the menu for mixing0
