It's not really a "vacation" but me and my family are going to stay near the beach for a week (starting July 1) and I don't know how to stay on track there. They're going to be buying junk food everyday. Any tips?
Also, how can I exercise? There won't be any space to workout in the hotel room. I can jog on the boardwalk but any other ideas?

Don't eat the junk food.
Exercise is a relatively small part of losing weight. What you eat, or don't eat, is much more important. Not exercising as much, if that's the way it turns out, for a week isn't going to change much.0 -
I just got back from a week away with my kids. They were at a VBS at my parent's church, and I was helping out. Homemade cookies and treats EVERYWHERE. Then, staying at my aunt's house, she always buys the kids some sugary cereals, pop-tarts, and chocolaty goodies like mini Yorks, hershey kisses, and mini reese's cups.
I enjoyed SOME of those things, but I logged my main meals first to make sure I was staying at least NEAR my calorie goal. I didn't have internet, so I was using my app and the items stored on it, but didn't have exactly the same items all the time.
So, decide that you will let yourself have a little of their junk food, but make as many healthy choices as you can.
As far as exercise goes, if you're near the beach, SWIM. I don't care if it's popular at your age or whatever. Swimming in the ocean is a lot of fun and fighting the current and waves burns calories, too.
I hope you enjoy your trip and let yourself have fun! Fun doesn't have to equal consuming large amounts of junk food and alcohol. Find fun in the little things- even exercise.0 -
If you must, eat at your calories maintenance level. Otherwise, enjoy your vacation and deal with any weight issues when you get back home.0
