Here's MY STORY...
I am a 25 year old mother of a wonderful 6 year old boy. In highschool I weighed around 145-150, I was comfortable and I was confident. During my first semester of college I found out I was pregnant (high risk) I had preeclampsia and blew up like a balloon, even to this day the pics of me laying in bed looking like the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man (from ghostbusters for all the folks not old enough to remember) with an oxygen mask on terrifies me. Being a young mother was tough, I was now on 2 blood pressure pills a day due to the illness. 5 months passed, Im now up too 210lbs and guess what? Im pregnant AGAIN  High Risk AGAIN (should of been more consistent with my birth control, live & learn). This go round I didn't have a great ending like before. I had suffered Placental Abruption and my daughter didn't recieve the oxygen or nutrients she needed to survive (she was born at 30 weeks). TO top that off the father of my children decided he no longer wanted to be apart of our lives. I FELL INTO A DEEP DEEP DEPRESSION. FOOD WAS MY COMFORT. Even though I had the support of my grandparents and mother I still felt like the weight of the world was on my shoulders. Losing a child is HARD, I don't care how OLD they are. Plus the major surgery I had in 2010 that put me down for awhile (yes I know... Life aint been no crystal stair as Maya Angelou would say).
Even though my personal life wasn't peaches and cream I decided I had to get up and get me some education. I graduated from community college TWICE. I have an associates in business administration and in Medical Office Administration, with a few CERTS thrown in there. I got a good job with the Federal Government, got into a good university, Im pretty happy now...but LOOK im now 256lbs. HOW DID I GET HERE? Is life REALLY that busy? Im happier now, but I can't stand my body? TIME TO GET SERIOUS ABOUT LOSING WEIGHT & BEING HEALTHIER.
As a Business Administration/Pre-Med student it would be hypocritical of me to be an OBESE docter (when the time comes) seriously. So after that little revelation and a good motivational talk from my dear mama I'm ready to get this weight off. My goal is to get down to 125lbs (but I'll be happy with 135-140). LIFE IS HELLA BUSY as a student/Mom/Employee BUT I WILL FIND A WAY!!!!! I go to the gym mostly on the weekends due to my long work/study hours and I do T25 at home during the week. I'm just starting OUT, and I need all the support I can get. NEW FRIENDS ARE WELCOMED. :flowerforyou:
