Time off?

So recently I've been running every morning and it has been wonderful. Lost a bunch of weight the first week and was feeling great, up until the weekend that is. I injured my ankle somehow while running, not sure what I did but I ran through it (stupidly) for three days until it was excruciating and I couldn't go on.
I've taken 4 days off so far due to the pain and I feel allllmost back to where I was, but even though I was feeling good I didn't want to push myself and further the injury when it wasn't quite healed.
I feel bad about the time off, I know its pretty much required andd my eating has still been on point but I just wanted to know if you guys have been here and have any advice for me on the mental strain of having to take time off due to an injury?
Any advice would be appreciated, thank you.♡
