A little advice :)

Hi everyone I'm very new to all this and would like a little advice please.. I'm 5 foot 5 and about 86 kg with a bmi of 44 % .. My recommended daily calories is 1,925 which seems like a lot to me if trying to lose a substantial amount of weight, and I'm also struggling to eat enough calories each day .. Any advice would be appreciated ta :) xx

    what did you set your loss rate for? you should probably be aiming for about 1lb a week

    this is a pretty good calorie calculator online:

    put in your information and set the activity to sedentary unless you are really active throughout the day, then use the first setting (do not count exercise you are going to log daily in this)

    that will give you your BMR (how much you burn by being alive) and your TDEE (how much you burn in a day doing what you do). MFP sets your goal based off of the lbs/week loss rate you selected so to check your numbers subtract from your TDEE your daily deficit (500 cal for 1lb/week, 250 for 0.5 lb/week, 750 for 1lb/week). That number should be close to your MFP daily goal. Following the MFP method you should be logging workouts in your exercise diary and eating exercise calories back.

    *Exercise for fitness
    (weight lifting is my recommendation)

    *Be Honest with Yourself

    *Measure yourself, take silly pictures and then enjoy your progress.

    If you have 75+ lbs to lose 2 lbs/week is ideal
    If you have 40-75 lbs to lose 1.5 lbs/week is ideal
    If you have 25-40 lbs to lose 1 lbs/week is ideal
    If you have 15 -25 lbs to lose 0.5 to 1.0 lbs/week is ideal
    If you have less than 15 lbs to lose 0.5 lbs/week is ideal
