Some advice please...

So I used to be 8.5 stone heavier than I am and in currently trying to tone up / gain muscle / lose fat etc. I'm happy enough with my weight (5ft 2 and 8st 12).

I just keep reading lots of conflicting advice.
I put my activity levels as sedentary - but I am pretty active as a teacher and burn around 400-650 cals at the gym per day-oxtite of
Cardio and strength.
I am trying to eat more protein and eat more regularly.

But my net cals are around 1100-1200 a day (this is after I take off exercise), I am eating some of my exercise cals back (which is why I put sedentary). My TDEE IS 1945-2100 (2 diff sites).
Should I be eating more or less?
What else should I be doing?
Any hints tips?
Will a few treats/nights out make a massive difference?

Thanks :)

If you want to gain muscle, you need to eat more. Netting 1100-1200 calories is not going to give you the body you're looking for. You need to eat more and lift heavy for "toning"/gain muscle.

As a teacher, you're most definitely not sedentary, so I don't know why you would set it at that? You need to be honest with your activity to get accurate numbers. Don't be scared of more calories. Worst thing that will happen is you see the scale move up, and then you just adjust it back down. It's probably going to take some trial and error to find the right intake for what you want.

And no, treats and nights out make no difference. Just keep it in your calorie goal and you're fine.

    Thanks :)
Yeah I seem to fest calories- not gd!
I eat about 1700 ish a day but that's before taking exercise away .
I put sedentary as I read on here that u should only put in the exercise u do if u set it at that as all other activity levels include exercise cals for what u say u do?

You should put the actual activity level you are. Activity level is for your daily life. After that, when you exercise, you add that in too, because it's "extra" work your body doesn't 'normally' do day to day. Your NET should always be around whatever your goal (without exercise) is (and therefor eating back exercise calories).
