I eat between 140-160 grams of protein a day which mostly comes from lean meats, eggs, and protein shakes.
I eat 1950 calories a day. I lift 3 days a week.
Is that too much protein to consume everyday?

*Edit* My goal is just to lose weight for now.

I think 160 is a bit high. But 120-140 g doesn't seem unreasonable to me. What are your macros currently set at? I'm guessing you eat low carb… or lower carb?

Also, I suppose it depends on your goals. Are you going for competitive bodybuilder / weightlifting results? If not, it's probably safe to lower your protein a little if that's what you WANT to do for any reason (more flexibility on where to spend your calories; cost savings at the grocery store because protein = expensive, etc.). I agree that 120-140 sounds about right for the typical person's goals at your size.

But the levels you're eating at aren't DANGEROUS. If you like the way you feel eating at that level and your kidneys aren't compromised in some way, keep doing it, I guess? I'm bigger than you and the way my plan works I hit those higher 160 levels on lifting days and target 120-140 other days.

As long as your kidneys work fine you are good to go.

As long as you are lifting heavy, your protein intake is very good. Stay with 140-175.
