Abs are made in the kitchen

I've found that with my journey into improving my health I have really been getting back into cooking as well. I hear the phrase "Abs are made in the kitchen" often around here so I was looking to start a thread for people to share their favourite recipe based on this saying - or just your healthy balanced go to meal. I'm hoping in doing so it will expand my cooking skills! Thanks in advance to anyone who decides to contribute a recipe :flowerforyou:

    I am terrible at trying new and different things in the kitchen. I will just throw a few things together and see how it turns out. Awhile back I tried this:
    1 pkg smoked sausage (halved and chunked)
    4 peeled and chunked sweet potatoes
    onion
    chili seasoning
    whatever other seasonings you want to throw in
    cabbage

    I put the sausage and onion in the bottom of a crock pot, seasonings, sweet potatos, then let that cook for a few hours before putting the cabbage on top and letting it cook for another hour or so until the cabbage is cooked. I thoroughly enjoy it. Some people think the sweet potato with the sausage and cabbage is weird.
  • I've been doing a lot more veggies and noticed I havent been craving chips.. Munching on bell peppers, cucumbers.. Maybe I'm fulfilled by the crunch?! Anyway I'm so happy and have much more energ..definitely feel like its from good food choices and daily exercise!!
