Staying in fat burning zone vs more exertion beneficial?

Upon doing some research I found it suggested that even though I have the ability to do cardio at a higher HR (what I've been doing ) it's recommend to stay within my aerobic zone of 134. I'm 42, F, SW 243, and have been doing strength training and resistance the last 2 months 2-3 x a week, and love it! Cardio has fallen behind aside from 1.5 hours a week with brisk walking with intermittent jogging 45-60 seconds every few minutes. I'm gradually building up more at stamina. I'm not losing weight nearly as fast, or inches in my midsection. Would doing less excretion and staying within the HR suggested be more beneficial? Also suggested to do cardio before eating breakfast may burn more calories. Thanks in advance :-)

A higher heart rate burns more calories per hour, so it's a more efficient use of time.
Exercising before breakfast won't affect your results noticeably.
Are you weighing / measuring your foods?0 -
I think fasted cardio has been debunked for awhile now. I dont think there is anything wrong with it myself I just dont think you will see any additional benefit from it as long as calories ar ethe same.
