It is known that your body slowly adapts to the calories we eat per day and it will reach plateu. So how does people lose weight by eating less(and exercise, of course)? I am so confused!

Plateaus are usually because of sloppy logging. Log everything you eat accurately & honestly. Weigh everything you eat—even packaged foods.0 -
it takes a long time and a really high deficit to effect your metabolism in a noticeable way. you can help counter this by eating at maintenance for a week or so every couple of months, or having a day every once and awhile where you eat at maintenance (aka cheat day)0
