How much protein?

Why is the food counter "low" on protein? For my body weight, the standard formula is 1.6 grams of protein for every kilogram of bodyweight. For my 164 lbs/74 kg, that should be about 118 grams of protein a day. The myfitnesspal food counter puts me at about 60 grams.
My goals are to lose body fat (from 28% to <20%), but gain muscle. I've heard "over-proteining" could led to the body storing it as fat, or calcium loss.
Also, my strength training doesn't seem to calculate into burned calories. Am I doing something wrong with the software?
Thanks,
Joe Iconic

To answer one of your questions, you have to enter weight training under Cardio in order for it to give you a calorie estimation. I don't know why, I find it weird.

Oh if you click My Home > Goals > Change Goals and update it with Custom settings, you can manually change your protein goal and other things too, like Fat/Cal/Protein percentages, etc.0
