Which bread do you eat? How many calories per slice? How many do you eat any one time?

I buy Hovis nimble wholemeal bread and Hovis seed sensations. Sensations is 82 per slice nimble is 51. Nimble I might have 2 at brekkie and seeded one just 1 slice.

I go for the ones with fewer ingredients. With less than 3 grams of added sugar, with no HFCS, with more fiber, and that are 100% whole grain.

I thought Hovis seed sensation which is lovely but I think it's 120+ a slice MFP says 122 cals a slice. Let me know if you have found a lower cal version. Personally bread is like a trigger food for me so the best place for it is in the supermarket and not in my house.

Anything with "lite" in the name should have lower calories, plus more fiber.

I use Natures Harvest Light Multigrain bread. 40 calories a slice, 1g sugar 9g carb per slice. I usually use it at lunch time for my sandwich, but it is good anytime. Even toasted for egg sandwiches in the morning. I have yet to make French toast with it, but I am sure it will be delicious when I do.

Dave Killer Bread, the thin sliced stuff is 60-70 calories and it's packed full of seeds and whole grains.

I don't eat a whole lot of bread, maybe 2-6 slices per week, but these are my favorites.

Alvarado Street - Essential Flax Seed Bread (50 calories per slice, 50 mg sodium)
Alvarado Street - Sprouted No-Salt Multi Grain Bread (90 calories per slice, 10 mg sodium)
Ezekiel 4:9 - Sesame, Sprouted Whole Grain Bread (80 calories per slice, 80 mg sodium)

Ezekiel is about 80 calories, but Miller Lite bread is in liquid form 95 calories maybe. Also Yuengling Light is 98 calories, but again liquid id form so it isn't something to use for PB&J.

Pepperidge Farm 15-grain. 100 calories, 4 grams fiber per slice. Tastes good, too. Also, if I can get my hands on Milton's. I think it is also 100 calories, maybe 110 and 3 grams fiber.

Not sure what country you're in, but if in the UK I have Warburtons wholemeal - they do a smaller loaf which is 58 cals a slice. I also sometimes get the warburtons sandwich thins which are 100 cals each (they come cut in half so it's really 50 cals a slice) - I use them for burgers or just for something different!

They do smaller loaves which work out as less calories per slice. I like the seeded batch one which is 86cals a slice for the 400g(smaller) loaf, although they are sliced annoyingly thick so occasionally I've actually sliced one slice into two... (this takes patience! )

I was eating Walmart white bread, came to about 60-70 calories per slice if I recall. I also liked using flour tortillas ('cause you only use 1 but get a sandwich shape anyway)! I had to stop eating bread in general because I'd literally eat a bag of tortillas plain on my couch, or six sandwiches just because. Will power goes right down the tubes with bread. <3 bread
I don't even think my goal on MFP is to lose weight, I mean, dropping 3 pounds would be cool, but I think it's more to gain control...so that I can eat bread.
