Hi! My name is Kim and my weight loss journey began two years ago. I was at my heaviest (225) and things were not good. I couldn't keep up with my kids, I was tired all the time, and my doctor told me that my cholesterol was on the rise! I decided something needed to change. I started walking, and eventually doing some weight training. I am down over 75 pounds! I feel so much better, and I love supporting and encouraging people to do the same. I would be happy to be an accountability partner with you. I still have some weight to lose, so we can work at it together! Getting your nutrition under control is a big key to losing weight. I can share what has worked for me if you are interested. If you work hard, I know you can reach your goal! So what do ya say? Are you in?

Accountability starts and ends with YOU. The only way to change bad habits is to put better, healthier habits in their place. It's not easy or something that you can accomplish overnight. I've been doing this for over 2 years and lost 100 pounds. Talk to yourself A LOT about what you are doing and why. There is a component to weight loss that really is all about your brain.

Work on learning to self moderate and then you will be able to handle all life can throw at you. Moderation will help you through vacations, eating out, parties - everything. Learning moderation will help you stop the bingeing because you're tired, bored, whatever the reason.

Motivation will come and go - habits will always be there. Build some strong habits around eating and exercise and you will succeed.

I get the "picking" at stuff while at work...especially a restaurant. May I suggest keeping some kind of nuts or pepitas in your pocket and "picking" at that...or some other food that you can work into your logging and account for at the beginning of the day? Also, how about keeping some gum in your mouth. You are less likely to be eating if you are chewing gum.

The other thought I had is...why are you picking? Are you hungry because your food is not satisfying you? Are you picking because of habit? You need to find out why you are picking at the food and when you have that answer, work on overcoming that issue.

I know that before, I could eat 1000 calories while making dinner and then sit down and eat a whole meal. I had to learn that I had to wait for the food to be cooked and served before eating. It was a habit for me and I had to work on breaking it.

Food for thought, if nothing else. Hope it helps. Good Luck!
