Calories / Day

Hey!
So these past few days, ever since I lost my second 5KGs, I have been finding it a little bit more challenging to stay within my daily calorie allowance as MFP instructed me to reevaluate my goals which consequently resulted in less calories allowed / day. However, I'm reading around on the internet and using several calculators and on average, a guy with my stats should eat around 2274 calories per day to maintain the same weight. That being said, I know I'd have to take some calories away from that figure in order to lose weight, however what MFP allows me to eat is 1,490 and I think taking away 800 calories is a little bit excessive. Of course, such an opinion is only coming from someone who is not as well-informed as some of you are and this is why I'm posting this thread. In all honesty, it's nothing that I can't deal with. However, I don't want to be reducing way too many calories if it is not necessary..
Stats:
Age: 20
Weight: 88KGs
Height: 170cm
Any suggestions? I'm not sure which calculator to believe.

I'm not sure what 88kg is in pounds, but if it's overweight, I lost all my weight on 1450 calories plus eating my exercise callories. My dietiician wanted me to increae even at that. Now, I'm working on reducing body fat and hace calculated 1500 calories plus six days of exercise will net me .5 lb a week loss. I rarely have had a problem with this and am meeting my goal of 5 more pounds plus lowered BF.0 -
It depends how quickly you want to lose weight. At an 800 calorie deficit you'd lose 1.6 lbs (0.7 kg) per week. If you don't feel as though you are eating enough then eat more, your weight loss will just be slowed. I'd calculate your TDEE http://www.fitnessfrog.com/calculators/tdee-calculator.html and eat at a 20% deficit.0

Looks like you only want to lose another 8kg. What calorie amount does MFP give you if you change to lose 0.5lb/week? It will be slower, but you will get more food which seems to be what you are interested in. Alternatively, you can always manually enter in your goal and change whatever MFP gives you to a level you are more comfortable with.0
