Starting again after one year

I am back after one year of drinking too much and gaining 15 lbs. I am 5'2" so this is a lot of weight. I had to buy new clothes as the ones I bought after I lost the weight don't fit. I kept them as I will get back into them
Now back to the drinking. I think I have an alcohol problem and I am addressing that. I know I need to give this up for health reason and for weight reasons. When I lost the weight, I gave up drinking, exercised and felt great. I think I got comfortable and said ok to one drink. This led to daily drinking and 15 lbs. I know how to lose the weight. Eat right and stop drinking. Increase exercise. I just don't know how to stop the urges

I am 5 days into a no booze challenge, here on MFP! I am convinced that alcohol kills my weight loss!

No booze for 30 days! Though I have a mind to carry on after that if it works! Just perhaps have a drink on social occasions!! I used drink and for for emotional and stresses! Not good!0

I know how you feel. I ended up giving up drinking 5 years ago (with support) because I could not just have "one drink". I'm excited for you and your life change; it will be much easier now that you've made that decision.
