Hi everyone!
My name is Taylor and ever since I could remember I have been struggling with my weight. I've hit my max weight and I am so tired of living the sedentary, nutritionless life I've been living. I am only 18 and I feel like if I don't do it now, by the time college hits and my life begins, I will be too busy and lazy to try. I guess I am asking for any tips to stay motivated and to stay on track. I thought joining a community where everyone is on the same journey may help.
Thanks in advance!

Make a list of why you want to do this. Set some goals (make them SMART -specific, measurable, attainable, realistic and timely). Start tracking your food. You can do this and you are right NOW is the time (it doesn't get any easier as you get older!)0

Hi Taylor! Nice to meet you
Ahh if I can give you once piece of advice from someone who was morbidly obese at your age. Please do this now. As you said don't let life pass you by. If I could do anything over again it would be to begin my journey sooner instead of in my late 20's. Be sure to track your foods. Loosing weight is really quite simple eat less calories than you burn each day and you will lose weight. However the tricky parts are fitting that into daily life, dealing with situations that make you want to give up, and losing motivation. Make a commitment to yourself to log in here ever day and track your food. Holding yourself accountable is the #1 best thing you can do. Even if you have an off day log it! It put in your mind how much you actually ate and can make you think about that next time you are in the same situation. BEst of luck to you and if you would like a support buddy feel free to add me

Welcome to your new journey. My advice will be starting off with small goals to achieve within a week or month. It could be simple as giving up soda for a week or aiming to complete 5 miles total of running.
Figure out a schedule that will work for you in the long term.
Eat more fresh foods and test out what eating habits work best for you
In my opinion try not to weight yourself every week if you just getting started since the body need time to adjust.
Feel free to add me. I have a open dairy but this week is not a good example lol. Since I was testing to see if a high intake of sugar does prior to working out.0
