That's awesome and I agree, it is horrible. I remember the fist time I saw that on my chart at the doctors, I wanted to die but it took me quite a while after that to change....unfortunately! Major accomplishment.....congrats!!!

    That is EXCELLENT!!!

    And again, a HORRIBLE label...

Just tell yourself - labels are things you have in clothes to tell you how to wash and iron 'em!

We're all unique - we're all trying, so the only label we ALL should have on here is:

    "Determined"

Well done again - you must be over the moon!!!

I can't stand the term 'morbidly obese' it just sounds so horrible. Although saying that, it's probably to try and kickstart people into losing weight by giving it such a term. I can't wait until i'm only overweight and no longer obese

Woo Hoo!! I reached this goal sometime last week, and I can't wait to go to the Dr on the 22'nd!
It's a new dr, and when he tells me I'm obese, (like I had no clue right..) I'm gonna cheer! When he asks me why I'm happy about that I'm going to say, 'because you didn't say I was MORBIDLY obese!!' hahhaahah
Definately not a good name for it! It sounds soooo depressing, and being depressed about it doesn't help! hahaha

yeah, I peeked at my doctor's chart when he was out of the room and saw the words, "morbidly obese"......it kind of is a gut kicker.......I'm still there, I guess.........cause I don't know the diff. between morbid or just obese...........however I'm on my way to change all that.........so glad to see that you are doing so well!!! keep it up!:flowerforyou:

Thanks for all the encouragement and knowing I'm not alone on the MORBID label. I'll take the advice that it is just a kick in the butt to get the lifestyle changed. You're all great.
