I bought a frozen pizza for the first time in almost a year today. And it tasted horrible. I used to live of cheap frozen pizza but this just was so salty and so fatty I wasn't able to eat the entire thing. It was a last resort and I tried hard to find anything else. I only like thin crust pizzas now....mushrooms, tomatoes, bell pepper, opinions....just make it veggie please

Bready pizza is too much on my gut and also a lot of unnecessary calories.

I make my own with a wrap base. Just as quick as thawing and cooking a frozen pizza... Not too much cheese, basil and tomatoes, yummy... Try that if u have wraps in your cupboard next time... Know what you mean ready made pizzas are yuck.
  • My wife is very good at this: making some quick-to-prep eats that she freezes for any day emergencies. She's Asian so she'll spend an afternoon wrapping dumplings and freeze them. Then, if we ever need a meal, we can just steam up some of the dumplings.

Frozen pizza is an easy convenience food that's not a bad choice nutritionally. We've got a busy life with 4 sons and have frozen pizza about once per week. I typically have 3/8 of a pizza, usually with some fruit or maybe edamame.

I'm not sure what's wrong with it, except of course you can make better pizza yourself if you're so inclined.

I like the Palermo's brand Ultra Thin crust pizzas. They're not horrible as far as nutrition ( I mean, yeah, sodium is high, but it's a frickin frozen pizza. Whatta ya gunna do?), and the Fajita pizza flavor is really yummy. They also have a Ham and Fire-roasted Pineapple one that I throw some jalapenos and sriracha on before I bake it and I am in Yum-city.

I have found that I've lost my taste for a lot of really processed food, too. I made some cheap-o ramen for the first time in forever, recently, and ended up throwing it all away. I used to looooove my ramen noodles (especially when i made cheesy ramen. Ahhhh... comfort foods of yester-year) and now it just tastes like eating straight salt.

All frozen pizza's are not created equal.

I have one usually once a week- i prefer red baron- digionia is okay- but tombstomb is rubbish.

pizza is nommy- don't give up hope!!!
