When you look at the nutritional info for a taco salad, does it include the shell? I never eat it but I was just curious if it's expected that you do.

I assume that it varies. Those shells are dangerous0

If you are looking up the nutrition facts on the website of where you are eating - if it's served in the shell, the nutrition facts should include that. A fried shell adds approximately 400-450 calories to the salad. If you are using the MFP database - it's a crap shoot. I find the database is wrong more often that it is correct.0

Thanks! I did go to the restaurant's site. I know salads can be on the high side but it just seemed too high given the size of the salad and then I realized that they could be including that shell. I've gone ahead and logged the full amount but I emailed them and asked them for future reference.0
