What the hunger is telling me

I have been a member for awhile now, I start, I fall off the wagon, several months pass, I start over again.

I restarted on June 1st. I started by running. I started a couch to 5K, did day one, got a cold. Restarted the next week. Changed nothing in my diet. This time I was starting slowly. I just completed week 3 of the C25K, so now it is time to start logging my calories for real. Yesterday, logged 1350.

Yesterday, I also felt hunger for the first time in months.

I was so used to snacking during the day that my body was never really hungry.

The hunger is here to remind me that I must be doing something right in reducing my calories.

The hunger is telling me that progress is being made.

The hunger is motivating me to keep going instead of discouraging me.

This is beautifully said and from an angle I've never considered. Thanks for sharing this.

hunger can mean either dehydration or nutrients needed.

Not dehydrated, and its not time for my next meal. My body is just used to always having food in my stomach, so my stomach is just sending all those "empty" signals.
