Where are the appropriate places to take measurements? For instance where is the correct place to measure waist and chest? I know this sounds dumb!

Waist, the natural bend when you lean to the side
Abdomen, thickest part below the belly button
    Chest, thickest part

Just to add, for the chest, the easiest thing to do is 1) always wear the same bra (your regular bra) when you measure, and 2) measure across the nipples (this is an easy place cause it won't move haha) - make sure you have the measuring tape parallel to the ground all the way around (it helps to look in a mirror from the side!
