Losing 15 pounds in 2 months

Summer break has just started and I have just realized I'm overweight. I'm fairly lazy, I love to sleep a ton and I tend to really enjoy fattening foods and drinks. By the time fall comes, I would love to be in great shape. I'm interested in hearing anyone's suggestions! My troubled areas would probably be my stomach and upper thighs, any ideas on how to tighten these? What are some good workout regimens and diets? I apologize if I'm not clear on anything, this is my first post

I wouldn't recommend any particular diet. Just set up your goal here on MFP and let it recommend a daily calorie intake for you and focus on meeting that goal daily.

Sleep is great and it's good for weight loss. Eight hours is a good amount. Get up, get out and move around. Walks, running, jogging, whatever you enjoy doing. Movement is key!

    Also, don't drink calories.

    Just my two cents.

Also my first post :) I have had great success with Jillian Michaels Body Revolution Workouts. I Workout about 4-5 times a week and try get 2 of the Cardio workouts in per week and I work just my abs 1 days a week (4 sets of 20 with an ab roller). I have noticed my trouble areas are much firmer looking than before (tummy & thighs defiantly a noticeable difference). I have lost weight at a rate of about 20 lbs in 9 weeks. Eating around 1200 calories but eating back what I burn. I also take vitamins to help with the low calorie level. And let loose by going out or adding an alcoholic beverage or 2 to 1 meal every 2 weeks. And I drink about 8-12 cups of water a day. Good luck you can do this!

You can also try some appetite suppressor supplement like Garcinia Cambogia it will curb appetite and lose weight naturally.

You sound a lot like me, except for the summer break part ( a - it's winter here and b- haven't been a student in yonks). I love my sleep. I actually spent almost the entire day yesterday in my pyjamas, doing absolutely nothing. I love stuff like McDonalds and KFC and hot chips are just the best.

You're not going to magically be in shape by the time fall comes. Maybe if you only have a few pounds to lose.

What do I do? I sleep in on weekends. One or two days a week I'll get my Maccas. The rest of time I eat my calories carefully, go to the ice rink twice a week, walk on my treadmill other times. You have to want it, kiddo.

I agree! I've started swimming more this summer and it's been so helpful in losing!

Try and get hold of the TV series "I used to be fat". Students lose a *hell* of a lot of weight over the summer holidays.

Firstly, I think most of here love fatty food and not moving much, otherwise we wouldn't be here. We've just decided that there's something we want even more - to feel good about ourselves. The sentiment I keep reading on here is something like, "Being fat and unhealthy is hard. Exercising and eating less is hard. Choose your hard".

Advice? Well, this is a calorie-counting website so I'm going to suggest that you count and record all the calories you consume and burn. Secondly, exercise. People above have listed the exercise they love. You just need to find yours.

You haven't given your starting weight/height?

In the last three months I've lost 2.5st/35lbs, but I started out at 20st/280lbs and I'm a 5'4'' female so it was achievable without being crazy restrictive. If 15lbs is all you need to lose and you're close to your goal weight losing 15lbs in 2 months would probably be unachievable or even unhealthy.

As for the how, I've used MFP's calorie calculations and I've been going through the c25k running programme and using an exercise bike and rowing machine on the inbetween days for cardio and I've been doing bodyweight exercises and have been using some make-shift dumbbells (my mum had some leg weights which I've tied into a cylinder) for strength. Look up some youtube workouts you can do at home - there are lots that don't require any equipment - search for BeFit - there are lots of things on there.
