Got a nasty tummy bug

So today I've not eaten anything just drinking water. I've not been sick but have very bad diarohea (sorry tmi) so my question is when I do feel like eating again and keeping it bland should I just eat a small amount and build back up to my 1,950 calories a day? I don't want my body to store fat because I've not eaten for a few days and I don't want it to hamper my weight loss.
Thanks
Thanks

That's a myth, just look after yourself.0

You'll be fine. Just build up your food again slowly - believe me, I once tried to jump straight from nothing to everything and let's just say it prolonged the upset...
Your body knows you're sick. You'll be all right.
For now, may I recommend Gatorade or Hydrolite? You need more than water to stay hydrated at this point, and those have some nice electrolytes for you. I prefer Gatorade (tastes better), but even flat lemonade will do (I was given this all the time as a kid when I had an upset stomach).
I had a stomach flu a couple of years back and I barely had anything more than Gatorade for three whole days, and no more than toast for another five after that. It was evil. But I didn't immediately pile the weight back on. Trust me, you won't feel like 1950 cal for a while.0 -
a few days of being ill won't cause your body to lose lean mass or go into adaptive thermogenesis. Any weight you've lost will be water and glycogen and will come back when you start eating normally again. (and maybe a little fat was lost too)
For now, just eat what your digestive system can handle. The BRAT diet (bananas rice applesauce toast) is supposed to be good for recovering from a tummy bug as those foods are gentle on your digestive system. Eat this kind of bland food if you're hungry, don't eat if you're not hungry. Your appetite will come back when your digestive system is ready for food.0 -

I agree, please hydrate and do the BRAT diet, it works wonders on both children and adults. I swear by it anytime someone I know is having stomach problems.0
