Not losing weight after 1.5 months

I have been consitently going to gym for 1.5 months now (30-45 min cardio and strength training) and eating a diet from 1200-1600 (sometimes below that when I exercise) and I have not lost any inches and my clothes fit exactly the same. It is extremely frustrating and I'm starting to think there is something wrong with me. Should I go to the doctor?
Edit: I'm 5'9, 190 lbs, female, 19

it couldn't hurt to go to the doctor when starting weight loss - have blood sugar and thyroid and everything else checked, and get the okay. it's a very good idea to make sure you're healthy.
how regularly do you log your foods and how accurately are you figuring your calories - are you using a digital food scale? seems like a lot of people here underestimate their calories, and that leads them to some worry that they can't lose weight, when in reality they're eating more calories than they think they are.
intensity counts. you want to be raising your heart rate to a healthy rate. my friend never lost any weight at the gym, as her time on the treadmill barely raised her heart rate. she said she hated to sweat *LOL* and are you seeing strength increases from your strength training?0 -
You're probably eating more than you think. In fact 99% chance of that being it.0

Yeah, it's hard for anyone to help if we can't see what you are eating. You need to open your diary.0

not one person i know gets a full annual physical from their doctors. it appears that our local kaiser and cedars docs prefer to treat problems rather than prevent them. i have friends who think they have annual physicals who don't have blood panels or things like that so i never assume anyone gets a full physical. and even if they do, my current (soon to be ex) doctor apparently got some results on my last tests she neglected to inform me of. i couldn't be the only one where that happens.
if you're going to the gym, might as well get something from it.Unless it's people having a general annual physical, having them run off to the doctor is unnecessary. Instead they should review their intake.
Workout intensity and sweating is nice, if you like that sort of thing, but it's not necessary.0 -
