Walking at work

I normally have trouble walking due to severe ankle pain. I just stopped smoking... again... something I wasn't going to do while on my weight loss journey but here I am.

Instead of going out every 45 minutes for a smoke break I've decided to walk around the block twice a day at work, because I spend 8 hours sitting at a desk and I need to get up and move around. I just got back from the first walk, it was only 8 minutes. Should I maybe go around twice instead of once if my ankles can handle it? I feel like 8 minutes is miniscule. Now every day I do have to walk about 3 blocks to get to my parked car. That takes about 10 minutes.

Congrats on stopping smoking. You may feel like you can walk more at one time but until you know how the extra walking will effect you tomorrow I would stick with one today and if you don't an increased amount of pain you could up it tomorrow. It won't benefit you to overdo it then have to take multiple days off for recovery.

Well it adds up to 36 minutes of walking, though it isn't continuous... should I log it?
