heel spur low impact exercises

I've recently had some heel pain and have been diagnosed with a heel spur. Exercise aggravates it and then I am in pain the rest of the day, I'd like to hold off on surgery as long as possible. I try to stick with the recombant bike because it doesn't aggravate as much as walking or the elliptical machines do? BUT, the bike is getting BORING, any ideas on new, low-impact exercises I can do? BTW, I live in a small town with no swimming pool and a very limited gym (elliptical, stepper, bikes, treadmill, weights).
