I needed to replace the battery on my Polar Wearlink transmitter for my FT7 model and in the process of trying to remove the battery cover I damaged the cover making it impossible to remove. While searching the internet for a solution on removing the damaged battery cover I came across this one tip. Drill two small holes on the cover and use a needle nose pliers to turn the cover in the open position. These holes are meant to provide a grip for the nose pliers, that's all. They should NOT go through into the battery chamber. I tried this method and it worked! I replaced the battery cover with a new one which is provided when you buy the Polar battery set. The set includes the battery, cover and seal. I purchased the battery set directly from Polar. I hope this tip helps you. It saved me $$$$$!!!
