Question About Calorie Burn.......

Why is it my gym recumbent says I burn like 142 calories after 30 minutes and my home recumbent says I burn 368? When I record my activity I don't want to over state my calorie burn. What would your advice be?

I hate that!! I have the same issue my treadmill says I burn a lot more than this site does. But my treadmill is really old. I would probably go with whichever machine is newer and keep that number in mind.0

I'm glad to know I'm not alone. My home recumbent might be a better workout being it makes me sweat more than at the gym, but that is such a big jump in numbers.0

I have yet to find any machine that I would trust completely. With that being said though the research I have done points to HRMs (Heart Rate Monitors) like the polar ft7 to be much more accurate than what would be found on the machine itself. Even with my HRM though I only eat back half of my workout calories.
