"Clean" banana pudding
Semi clean individual banana pudding
1/2 small container vanilla greek yogurt
1 tbsp vanilla protein powder
1/2 banana
1/2 sheet graham crackers
This is pretty tasty and really took care of my sweet something craving after my workout. Not terrible for ya either. I can see a million different options here with mix in, different fruits, etc

Yeah. That looks great. What other fruits?0

I would think you could use just about anything honestly. You could use chocolate protein powder, different flavored yogurt, strawberries, blueberries. I would think the possibilities are almost endless.0

What makes this clean?0

Since when did heavily processed ingredients denote something was "clean"0

Sounds really good.. Thanks for sharing.. Have to try this..0

My recipe's pretty clean, too.
Nilla Wafers (not optional)
1/3 cup granulated sugar
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1/4 teaspoon fine salt
2 1/4 cups whole milk
3 large egg yolks, lightly beaten
3 tablespoons unsalted butter, cut into small pieces
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Sliced bananas
Mix all the ingredients together in a saucepan except the butter, bananas and wafers, whisk together until smooth. Then put it over low heat and stir until it starts to thicken. Add butter and stir some more.
Put Nilla wafers in the bottom of a bowl, pour mix over it. Put in the fridge for an hour. Put sliced bananas on top. Back in fridge for 2-3 more hours. It gets that thick skin on it that cooked pudding gets. That's my favorite part.0 -

Duh, you have to wash the banana first!0 -

Well, in all fairness, he is saying that the entire pie is 1 serving.
The OP recipe is probably pretty good, but it isn't really pudding. It's greek yogurt with some stuff in it. And it certainly isn't "clean".0 -

It's a 10" pie shell - do you really think that it serves just one? I'm sure you could eat it all with a spoon (YUM!) - but you could also make 6 - 8 slices.0 -

If you haven't noticed here esp in the recipe section people try to minimize cals instead of maximizing flavor and eating less volume. It's why you have crappy recipes that bastardize perfectly good dishes in the name of lower cals all around here0 -

So you justify having a piece of pie that is approximately 600 calories better for you than the OP recipe? Come now , even you can't think that is the better choice... We all know probably which tastes better, but isn't this site aimed at losing the weight and making better choices, sigh...I personally don't want to see the macros on this one...just my opinion0 -
He never said it WAS better. He said it was a good recipe the way it was.
"good" or "better" are relative terms. If you try to make the macros better, you are likely to sacrifice flavour. It is perfectly valid, particularly if you enjoy the taste of the modified recipe.
The point Acg was trying to make (I think) is that people obsess too much on trying to create what they think are healthy or healthier versions of food, instead of just eating the things they really like in moderation.
It is all about balance. For example if you like bigger meals you can fast for part of the day, if you like real icecream you can reduce your fats and carbs during the day to allow for it at night, etc. Not every meal has to be an exercise in self-affirmation thorugh 'eating clean'.0 -

The problem here is needing to "justify" a certain food. Eating does not involve a court case or trying to absolve yourself from guilt for eating something you truly enjoy.
If you like greek yogurt and protein powder, eat that thing like you're making out with your first boyfriend. If you like real pie, eat that thing like you're making out with your first boyfriend. Enjoy it, log it, fit it into your calories and macros, and move on.
I have 333 calories left and no pie. Guess I'll have to make out with my husband like he's my first boyfriend, instead. Oh darn.0 -

Depends on your criteria for better. Put the pie I linked to vs the ops in a blind taste test and the actual pie would win hands down. Take any if the numerous crappy low cal recipes posted here against a legit version with a focus on maximizing flavor and I'm willing to wager the low cal versions get destroyed. It's a totally different mindset, I cook to maximize flavor and that doesn't mean trying to reign in cals. I order food the same way, I order what I think will taste the best with potential calorie count never coming into play.
Anecdotally if you look at the people who are posting these low cal abominations, they have less then admirable physiques, so what is all this sacrificing of flavor in the name of cals doing for them?0 -

Totally agree. I lost 54 lbs before coming here and I lost the weight by substituting higher calorie recipes with lower calorie. Yes, the full fat, full calorie wins hands down. The point I was trying to make is I, personally can't have this everyday or I will be back where I started from. If that works for you and makes you happy, then by all means eat it. I have 11 lbs to lose and my physique is pretty good also. We each have to do what works for us..0 -
You're all missing the point. Banana pudding does not, in any version of any universe, belong in a pie shell.0
