59, getting healthy before the big 6-0

I'm 59, and have 40 pounds to lose. I've done it before, after knee surgery, but gradually gained it all back again. Now I'm trying again, hoping to enter my 60's healthier and lighter than I am now, LOL. Walking, transitioning into jogging, and sore everywhere. Switched to MFP from another diet logging site because the food database is SOOOOOO much better, and also because a different interface is helping me get interested and "into it" again. And I love the way Runkeeper works with the site, so I don't have to manually enter my walk/runs. This is my first post here, I have a lot of reading to do. :)
