    Sorry about that:
Here is a study done on house cats

    http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/j.1939-1676.2000.tb02283.x/abstract

I would personally not mess with it.

I find them a good for energy but you then need to use that and work hard. They are not going to melt fat away as you sit on the couch eating. 200mg of caffeine and some ground hot pepper also will get you fired up

L-Carnitine (aka ALCAR) has some stimulant effects. It will not help you burn fat unless you are somehow deficient in it.

You can read plenty here: http://examine.com/supplements/L-Carnitine/

It's not a bad supplement by any means, but it's not some sort of magic pill.

Running sprints and walking are my favorite caffeine free ways to burn fat :)

Fat burners? Really? Is a caloric deficit not simple enough?

Based on personal experience from grilling meat, fire is a great fat burner, and it has no caffeine.

But seriously, don't waste your money. Fat is "burned" with a deficit, no other way around it.
