How best to reward yourself?

I want to come up with rewards to give to myself as added incentive to meet my various weight loss goals. I was thinking about rewarding myself at every 10-lb loss. Does anyone have any suggestions on rewards that are not food related? I've been suggested to give myself a massage but I don't want to do that every time.

I like to buy myself a new shirt, nothing expensive, just something like that.0

I don't have a good answer, but take my word for it, don't use clothing as a reward. In Jan, I was a very tight size 33 in jeans and just hoped that I would get back to 32 one day. When I tried on a size 31, I was so elated it fit, I bought it right away. Two weeks later, I did the same thing on a size 30 ...and that was my goal. Now they're all loose.
So basically flushed a bunch of money down the drain in a span of a few months.0 -
I'm getting myself some new workout clothes this month. I'm almost 10lbs down, and I'm sure I can fit in a smaller size. These ones are a little loose...Next month I want some new hiking boots for our camping vacation.
Basically, I find fitness related rewards are nice. Some more dumbbells, or new running shoes, or whatever suits you.0 -
Had a gorgeous actifry to celebrate 50lb lost.0

Music, spa days (facials, pedicure, manicures), new fitness equipment, clothes, a day off to just enjoy and relax, every ten pounds you could try a new activity like rock climbing, kickboxing or martial arts class, zumba membership.. possibilities are endless!0

Each time I'm in a new, lower size, I delighted with how I look. That's reward enough for me!
I also sit around thinking things like, "God, how could I have weighed FIFTY MORE POUNDS than this?!" I try to focus on the good, though.0 -
Money. Give yourself a dollar per pound lost.0

I've been doing the clothes thing. It's a huge reward for me to now be able to find some new clothes!0

This may be kind of a weird answer but here goes..
My office is downtown and a few doors down there is a construction group remodeling the inside of a large store. One of the guys keeps staring at me whenever I go outside. I have no idea why he is staring because I'm certainly nothing to look at, especially right now, and he's not bad looking.
So my reward to myself to be to get to where I can hold my head up when I walk past him, and if he is staring at me to stop and ask him why he is staring at me.0 -
I have rewards for big goals: like when I reach 199 I will go zip lining, when I reach my goal weight I will go shark diving. For my 10 lb wins I usually treat myself to a manicure/pedicure/ or facial.0

When I hit goal, it will be a long awaited tattoo!0

I've been thinking about some kind of charm bracelet or necklace. Every bead would represent 10 lbs. Wearing it would help remind me of my goals. I haven't found one I really like yet, but having something visual with me all the time seems to make the most sense to me right now.0

For every 5kg I've decided to buy some new music (on vinyl mostly) and when I finish my first six months of weekly gym sessions I'm going to get a tattoo Another tattoo when I reach my goal, too.0

I don't iike rewarding myself with clothes because I'd like to think they'll soon be too big for me. Maybe pedicures, new fitness tools, iPhone/Android games, etc. My goal weight reward will most likely be an adventure vacation.0

I have to officially start doing this, but I was going to reward myself for every time I worked out. I was thinking about giving myself $1 for each day I exercised, and put it into a fund that would help with the costs of any clothes I would need to purchase in the future. Since I'm been lazy in regards to setting it up, I owe myself $25...oops.0

Even without much money to spend, I had a great time rewarding myself at thrift stores and used book stores. Also new music to listen to while running or workout clothes of any kind.0

I buy new fitness gadgets. A heart rate monitor, new dumbells, kettlebells, mat, other weights, fitness DVDs....At 50# I bought myself a new bike which I love putting miles on. I just buy clothes when I want clothes and get manis/pedis when my nails need done but I do try to rationalize the workout stuff, after all, I can really lose without it - it is just more fun with it!0

I think I'll celebrate my over 40 pounds lost milestone by making this post so it shows my tracker.0

Get yourself a charm bracelet ( pandora, troll etc). Buy a new charm each time you lose 10 pounds.0
-
How about a manicure or pedicure. Get your eyebrows arched. A new fitness DVD some new nail polish if you wear it or lipstick.0
-
I am so busy that I really don't have time to watch t.v. so every time I lose a full pound I watch something on my dvr or Netflix.0
-
I buy myself cookware! Like cast iron skillets, a cake platter (I try not to eat the cakes I bake), mason jars, whatever items I've been wanting.
Also - sexy clothes!0 -
I love the massage idea and get them often. Following the theme you could also do pedicures, manicures and facials. Since I am in the middle of my journey (about 40lbs left) I usually buy new workout clothes.
I do love the Pandora bracelet idea. Very cute. Also cookware since I am a junkie!
Good luck!0
