Anyone battling hashimotos/adrenal fatigue?

So contrary to every single modern-day article I read/advice I've been given my whole life, I am living proof that exercise does not always = more weight loss...at least by appearances and in certain cases.

For the past 6-8 weeks, I've been following MFP religiously. Logging everything, having a 'way over' day once in awhile but still keeping an overall deficit, and started exercising 5-6 days a week about a month ago...walking every morning minimum of 2 km plus doing hikes a few days a week plus other activities. Other than my first week with a big loss, my weekly losses have been pretty minimal considering how much I have to lose (0.6-1.5 lbs/week for the most part)....except for certain weeks. The ones where I don't exercise as much.

This week was the biggest one by far, but also the longest stretch I've gone without exercising in a week so far. (weigh days for me are Wednesdays). Friday I ate way over my cals. Saturday and Sunday were spent at the beach all day, again, eating way over my cals. The rest of the days have been at or very close to my calorie requirements. The ONLY difference is that I haven't exercised since Friday morning. Battled a bit of a cold over the weekend, had company in etc...i felt awful not doing it but I just didn't prioritize.

Fast forward to weigh day today. I am down 4.8 lbs. It doesn't make any logical sense. But something my doctor told me awhile back came to mind. He mentioned that because of my hashimotos and adrenal fatigue, I may actually lose slower by exercising. I completely forgot about it until today when trying to come up with a logical explanation.

So if you battle this as well, can you give me some feedback? what is your experience? How do you incorporate exercise into your routine while knowing your body's limits? I am thinking of cutting my walks down to either 3 days a week OR cutting the distance down to half. I've been researching online and some articles actually say no more than 15 min of walking a day or you can kick your adrenal and cortisol levels into overdrive, which force your body to store fat!

Thoughts?
