Basically it is just eating fruits, veggies and lean proteins with the right amount of good fats, all while avoid anything that is processed, refined or enriched.

    Not strictly.

I try to eat "clean-ish" which means I try not to eat junk food, fast food, or pre-prepared boxed stuff. Nothing too fancy just protein, and veggie/fruit based most of the time. Typically just the stuff you find on the perimeter of the grocery store.

Impossible to eat all "non-processed" food like some claim. Since every single item you purchase has been processed in some form or another.

Yes. Wash your food before you cook it, if it requires washing. And don't eat off the floor.

I think part of the problem is that every fad/celebrity/proponent has a different definition.

I like clean food. I don't like dirt in my mouth. That said, for athletic performance (and not just weight management) I do believe there are better quality food stuffs than others. In other words, calorie per calorie, I'd rather eat two bananas than a donut before doing a time trial.

What if the floor has recently been cleaned?

I'm sorry you missed the quotation marks in my post above. Here they are again for clarity, separate from the body of the text:

    " Chemicals "

This one is great! Food is just food.
And you can lose weight on a Twinkie Diet: http://edition.cnn.com/2010/HEALTH/11/08/twinkie.diet.professor/
Not saying it's healthy long term, but you can lose weight with any food, it's calories in vs out (simplified).

But you said only 1 ingredient.
What is an apple a good food?
