Today is Remembrance Sunday, I just wanted to post that I Remember.

When You Go Home, Tell Them Of Us And Say,
For Their Tomorrow, We Gave Our Today

I remember my Grandfather and great Uncles who all fought in the Great War 1914-1918

I remember my father, father in law and all my Uncles who fought in the 1939-1945 war

\i remember the people I know who fought in the other conflicts since, and the people I know who are fighting now in Afghanistan.

I remember the millions of lives, the bravery and the terror.

I remember what they did and do makes my life safer and better and more free.

Nothing more needs to be said. Thinking of those who fought. :flowerforyou:

    Lest we forget!

Our Remembrance Day in Canada was on Thursday, the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month!

Thank you to all that have served and that are serving.

Oh we have armistice day too, that is the 11 hour, 11 month, 11 day, but we always have the major national observance of Remembrance Sunday, the Queen and the representatives of all the Commonwealth nations (including Canada) lay wreaths at the Cenotaph in Whitehall, and then there is a mass march past by veterans. It is a very moving thing to witness.

The Cenotaph is in Central London, in the middle of the road that leads from the Houses of Parliament to Trafalgar Square, it is a very busy road usually.
