Trying not to fall off the wagon while sick

I've got a cold at the moment that is severe enough that I don't feel up to exercising. Yesterday I tried to work out but I had to finish up 10 minutes earlier than usual because I was feeling sick and light headed and coughing a lot. Today I've spent most of the day reading in bed feeling tired with an ear ache and sore throat.

Usually I eat 1200 calories net (eating back most of the exercise calories). Because I'm not exercising, I've been going over by about 300 calories a day these past few days. I know it's not really a huge deal and it shouldn't affect my overall goal too much but I'm worried that I won't want to start up again once I'm feeling better.

How do you guys manage your overall health goals/motivation while sick?

I'd hardly say 1500 calories is falling off the wagon. You're sick. Give your body a break. Don't worry about weight loss.

a few days eating at maintenance wont do you any harm and may help you recover quicker.
