5 ft 3 female 10 st 4, how much should I lift?

Hi all!

I am 5 ft 3.7 inch and weight 10 st 4 lbs, and would like to start lifting weights.

I would ideally like to get to 9 st 10lbs and be very toned (e.g visible stomach muscles but not a defined six pack) but not overly muscular.

I was just wondering;

1. How much should I be lifting for my weight and how many reps of that?

2. What are the best weight lifting techniques to encourage fat loss?

3. how much protein should I be eating?

Thanks!

    get on a lifting program- it will tell you how much and how many reps- there is no set answer to this question.
    Try starting strength
    strong lifts
    new rules of lifting for women
    2. What are the best weight lifting techniques to encourage fat loss?
    table push aways
    fork put downs
    3. how much protein should I be eating?
    typically 0.8-1 gram per lean pound of mass- for average people just working out anything over 100 grams is adequate.
