Sudden Weight Gain

I have been using MFP for almost two weeks after using the S Health app on my phone for a month prior. I had been losing ~3lbs per week the past six weeks, with a total weight loss of nearly 19 pounds so far. I am logging everything I eat, measuring portions(haven't gotten a scale yet), and using a stationary bike several times a week. I work an office job, so I don't get a lot of activity during the day, though I do have a toddler, so I get quite a bit in the evenings.

I tend to weigh myself daily to see trends and log my weight into MFP twice a week on Monday and Thursday. Monday, I was at 18.6 lbs weight loss. Yesterday when I weighed myself, I was up 4 pounds from that, and this morning, still up 2 pounds from my Monday weight. The scale I use is the EatSmart Digital one from Amazon. I drink ~10 cups of water per day and average 1500 calories.

Could this just be regular fluctuations in water weight or bloating?

You can't gain 6 pounds in so short a time period of actual fat/weight. Bound to be water. Have you had a high sodium week? Started your cycle? Changed your workout routine? Those are the 3 most likely scenarios, each could contribute 2-3 pounds easily.

Keep at it - but it would be wise to get a food scale so you can firm up your calorie count. As you lose weight, your body burns less and your deficit will shrink. ITs then very important to be as accurate as possible on what you eat.

    Give it some time.

Scale fluctuations are normal. The scales aren't perfect and you may have a little extra poop or water. I gain 4-7 pounds before every period.

I have an Eat Smart scale. I can change the reading depending on how I stand, lol. If I shift my weight to the front of my feet, It registers about a pound less. Except for the old-fashioned doctor scales, you just can't be sure. It's helpful and fun to watch the numbers go down, but is wouldn't bet the farm on any single day's reading.

Get used to scale fluctuations! They happen. :)
