The peanut butter and sugar alone is at least ~3800 calories... O_O

Yeah, after looking up the calories for the brownie mix this entire recipe is looking at around ~5800 calories, LOL.

I make proper peanut butter brownies from scratch, they're about 480 each for a decent slab!

I have a recipe that is from scratch in a 9x9 pan and if you get about 16 pieces its 300 calories each.

  • Here is mine: LOVE IT!

    1/2 cup melted butter
    1/2 cup brown sugar
    1/2 cup sugar
    2 eggs
    1 teaspoon vanilla
    1/2 cup flour
    1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
    1/4 teaspoon baking powder
    1/4 teaspoon salt
4 -6 teaspoons of natural creamy peanut butter

1- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2-Mix together melted butter, and sugars.
    3-Add eggs and vanilla, stir.
4-Mix in flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
    5-Pour brownie batter into a 11x7inch pan.
6-Drop teaspoons of peanut butter onto the batter.
7-Using a butter knife swirl peanut butter in a figure eight pattern.
8-Make sure to incorporate the peanut butter through out the batter, but DO NOT over mix.
9-Over "swirling" will mix the batter and you will not get the visual peanut butter effect.
    10-Bake for 20-30 minutes.
    11-Cool in pan.
    12-Cut and enjoy!
