40 lbs lost with pics

I started my weight loss journey in August 2012. I began with little things like giving up soda & sweet tea. Then I began incorporating fruits and veggies into every meal & snack and I only drank water. From August 2012 to August 2013 I lost 60 lbs. I have gained back nearly 20 lbs, which I blame on a new medication and being a little lazy. My doctor told me that the medication could cause weight gain and he told me to step up the workouts and kick the carbs to the curb....but most of my carbs come from fruit. I do not eat a lot of pasta, breads, etc.

So here I am almost 2 years after I began my healthy lifestyle journey and I feel like I am starting all over again. I am not going to let the medications "weigh me down"...I am going to bust through this and reach my goal. I am only half way there and I know that it takes hard work & dedication to lose weight. Every 3 months I will post a new photo, hopefully this will keep me committed & accountable.

I have read so many inspiring stories and seen incredible transformations on MFP...so why cant that be me? Thanks to everyone along the way that has inspired & motivated me.
