Weighing Food Versus Label

I know I have seen topics on this before, but I can't find a way to search it on here. And this happens with a lot of things I eat.
I have some chips that I enjoy eating but I am confused by the label.
It says there are 7 servings in the bag, each serving is an ounce. Okay that makes sense.
It says an ounce is approximately 12 chips. Alright.
But when I weigh out an ounce, and bag them up for the week, there are at least double that amount in the bag.
So is 120 calories for an ounce, or for 12 chips? I have been eating based on the 12, but I am worried I am over counting.

Always use the weighed value as the serving size and not the approximately X of whatever. That is the more accurate value, since you have a food scale always do this. Even bread is off from the one slice value if you weigh it, sometimes.0
