No, it's an abomination. PB should stick with its own kind.

I sort of agree. I love strawberry preserves and hate grape jelly.

I like strawberry jelly. And preserves. And marmalade. And chutney. I pretty much like anything that is done to fruits.

Jelly is the glue that holds a sammich together!

I've never tried "apple" jelly but based on your profile pic, I can honestly say, I don't think I'm ready for it.

Some iteration of this just seems obligatory.

I LOVE jelly!! Blackberry and Orange Marmalade are my favorites. Apple butter and peanut butter on hot toasted bread is out of this world.

My friend makes jalapeno and habanero jelly. The jalapeno gets mixed with tomato paste for an amazing glaze on my meatloaf. A tiny bit of habanero gets mixed with light mayo for ham sandwhiches. Yummy!!

Love pb&j sandwiches, but typically use preserves. I hate grape jelly though. Whoever mentioned apple jelly, that's actually pretty good.

oh gosh, jelly on bread??!! :noway:

    * reminds self this is an American site and they really mean jam :blushing:

actually, nobody here has peanut butter and jam together either - they might have one or the other on bread but not both together. That seems really weird combination to us.

PB and J is a totally American thing - root beer too. Kind of like the American version of durian as far as I can tell.
I would like to cast a vote for fig jam (not with peanut butter though) - it is fabulous.

I don't even like jelly. I don't even *like* jelly. I get hives if I even look at jelly. Wha--I don't even know about jelly. I've never even--What is jelly? I don't even care.

My dad like peanut butter - banana - mayonnaise sandwiches. Wasn't that an Elvis thing too? Or is it just banana - mayonnaise?

Is it weird that I like jelly (or jam) on a turkey sandwich? My family thinks that's just wrong. My favs are seedless raspberry and sour cherry.

I think Elvis liked fried peanut butter, banana and bacon sandwiches.

I have made a sauce for turkey and pork loin using sour cherry preserves. It's fantastic.
